Data Managment and Analytics
Our Data Management and Analytics Platform enables the development, deployment and use of digital technologies to improve the management, analysis and application of R&D data – to help design new innovations that advance food security. The platform expands GIFS’ scientific capacity and supports its research and development and that of its stakeholders.
Key objectives of this cross-cutting platform include:
- Capturing, analyzing and sharing data for various research purposes across all Platforms and Programs.
- Defining a clear and integrated data policy.
- Defining a clear data structure and assembling data to enable new discoveries
- Automate the acquisition of data, improving its quality and efficiency.
Accelerated Breeding Portal
ABP is a one-stop shop offering genomics, phenomics and bioinformatics services - combined with the latest imaging and precision agriculture technologies - for the extensive analyses of microbial, plant and animal samples for the agriculture and food sectors.
Our accelerated breeding portal combines the latest plant breeding technologies such as speed breeding, doubled haploid technologies and genomic selection and offers them through an interactive web interface.
Results such as assembly data can be explored through our in-house visualization tools such as the example shown below visualizing self synteny between a canola assembly.
